AP's Hezbollah timeline records remotely triggered pager attacks on Sept. 17 and follow-on walkie-talkie attacks a day later, killing dozens and maiming thousands, mostly Hezbollah members but also civilians.

Context

The attacks changed the Lebanon front from border attrition into a deeper intelligence and command-network fight. It helps explain why Hezbollah later treated ceasefire proposals as a disarmament threat.
